Last night it bucketed down with rain & I was seriously concerned that this morning would be a wash out. This was my one chance to catch up with Jeremy & Lucy for some shots before their big day on Saturday! Fortunately the light was incredible - not a drop of rain, and some seriously gorgeous dramatic skies as a background to this awesomely in love couple.
Matt's family home at Moonee Beach was the venue for a super fun & intimate wedding on Saturday. They said their vows under a cloudless sky, and then jumped in the kombi for a shoot in the summery haze at Charlesworth Bay. The reception at a gorgeously decked out Park Beach Surf Club followed, with some of the funniest speeches I've heard and some serious dance floor action.
Had a brilliant afternoon yesterday hearing a bit of Matt & Carolyn's story. From meeting in London a few years ago they are now gearing up for their big wedding day next month. Here's a few shots from our pre-wedding shoot in my favourite playground.
The stifling heat couldn't come close to dulling the excitement and joy of Adam & Erin's Valla wedding. I started with the boys having a fun wave at Sawtell and then headed up the highway to Erin's family home at Sandy Beach to capture the girls getting prepped to walk down the aisle. The ceremony itself was full of genuine depth as they celebrated God's plan for marriage and committed themselves to each other under his care. A trip out to the Promised Land and Bellingen for some shots was followed by a relaxed and very fun reception. Adam & Erin - you guys are absolute gems and I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing what God has in store for you as you walk with him together.
Travelled to Tweed Heads on Wednesday for the absolutely gorgeous and intimate wedding of Isaac and Emily. The weather was perfect, as was the setting in the grounds of Summergrove Estate. We managed some shots around the property without getting bitten by snakes or crashing our golf carts. It was a very fun and beautiful occasion to be a part of. All the best for the future Isaac & Em - looking forward to seeing where your adventure takes you!!!
We hit the south wall and gallows yesterday to talk about Benji and Ana's upcoming wedding and grab some shots. It was overcast and moody, with God surprising us with a blast of gorgeous sunset light through the clouds part way through. These guys are a super fun couple who couldn't stop smiling the whole way through the shoot - the wedding is going to be an absolute blast!
On Saturday a crowd gathered at Harbourside Presbyterian Church to witness a clock maker marry his beloved. Yep - legit. He’s a clock maker! Watching him marry a girl I’ve watched grow up was absolutely delightful! The whole ceremony and reception waa a reminder of Gods love for us, and Owen & Libby’s love for each other. We took off to Charlesworth Bay for some fun shots in between. Here’s a visual rundown of the day.
We gathered among the gorgeous scenery at Eagles Rest on Saturday to celebrate the love of Alex & Angela. I can't think of a more gorgeous setting for a wedding on the coast, and it was a perfect match for the commitment and joy of these two lovers and best friends.
Had the opportunity to spend time with these two incredible people yesterday. We headed to the Kurnell Cliff Edge, a dramatic location made even more so by the recent bushfires. Through the wind in the late afternoon light we were able to capture some images that sum their passion, love and joy that will be the mark of their marriage in the decades to come.
I have known Libby since she was a little girl hanging out with my daughter, so to have the opportunity to capture her wedding to Owen at the end of the year is a total delight! We were all in the city so decided to head to the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Opera House to capture some pre-wedding shots. So much fun!
