The Purple Coat

A friend of mine makes these awesome coats, available at http://www.etsy.com/shop/sweetandblue.  Took my wife Deb out for a cool little shoot with it in some autumn leaves.

Trent & Amanda's Wedding

Trekked out to a country town named Moree last weekend to shoot the wedding of Trent and Amanda.  Very fun wedding and the way the reception was decorated and the vibrant mood made the whole thing a blast to document.  Thanks Trent & Amanda for letting me be part of your big day.  Praying you guys have an awesome life together!

Grace

Did a short little photography lesson with Elizabeth today - taking some fun pics of her sister Grace. Lot's of fun - thanks for putting up with us Grace, hope you like your photos!

Almost!

My daughter Bek took this shot - very classic looking Chloe, but the foreground didn't quite suit the rest of the shot!

About Me

I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus.  Nothing is more important to me than having a relationship with my maker through him.  I am secondly, a husband to my gorgeous wife Deb.  Thirdly, I am Dad to 3 teenage kids: Javan, Rebekah and Liam.  Fourthly, I am a pastor in a Presbyterian Church in Coffs Harbour, Australia.  And Fifthly - I take photos!  I love taking photos, particularly photos of people.  In 2008 I purchased my first dslr on a whim and fell in love with photography very quickly.  A year later I was asked by friends to shoot their wedding.  I was nervous partly because I was also the minister who was marrying them, and also because of the pressure involved in having that responsibility.  However, I had a blast and they were very happy with the photos. Over the few years since I enjoy taking pics just for the fun of it, as well as the occasional wedding to help fund the hobby.  Our desire is to some day head overseas as long term missionaries and photography would be a great way to get ourselves established in a country that wasn't so keen on our primary reason for being there.

Market Day

Most months we head over to Bellingen markets & pack the camera.  This time I tried getting interesting shots of slightly more normal looking people and processing them in a different way.
